Solar Vietnam Virtual 2020 is the first and only online event in the country's burgeoning solar sector. Being one of Asia’s fastest-growing economies, Vietnam’s energy demand is expected to outstrip the construction of new power plants in the coming years, growing at a rate of 8.0%~8.5% annually. By 2030, the country is expected to require about 130 GW of electricity by 2030, more than double the current 54 GW while poses great pressure to the electric grids.

Under the context, rooftop solar emerges as a viable solution, especially for enterprises in the commercial and industrial segments. At the moment, Vietnam holds promise for more than 4 GW of rooftop solar power capacity to be effctively commissioned in the next 10 years.
